Coach Bios
The single greatest thing that sets the Pacific Storm Water Polo club apart from other water polo clubs is our coaches. Storm coaches have a way of bringing out the best in kids in a way that helps them reach their full potential. Storm boasts the highest coach to athlete ratio in the province with a coaching staff that is made up of a two time Olympian, former members of the national team, and a host of other coaches who are experienced and fantastic at what they do.
Our coaches are role models and mentors to whom the athletes can turn to for advice, both in and and out of the pool and who lead by example by promoting sportsmanship while at the same time driving for results. Many of Storm's coaches were Storm athletes themselves, some of whom have gone all the way in the sport such as two time Olympian Susan Gardiner Auvinen and former National Players Daniel Tausan and Athina Vazeos. Assistant U16/U18 Girls' Coach, John Stockdale, is a coaching instructor and has a passion for education and helping talented female athletes find NCAA scholarship opportunities south of the border and has a remarkable record. Head Coach Nikola Maric has a passion and drive like no other and his European water polo experience has produced outstanding results for the club.
