Ian Goodman started playing water polo back in the 80's for the Coquitlam Sharks. From there he progressed to play for Pacific Storm and was lucky enough to be a member of their first gold medal victory. He also went on to play for Canada at the Junior national level. Always a student of the game, moving into coaching was a natural progression.
Ian loves to coach all ages and has seen success in all age groups. As head coach of Pacific Storm earlier this decade he won several national titles at the Cadet level, while also being fortunate enough to coach Storm to BC's only gold at Senior Women's Nationals. Ian is a Level III NCCP coach in water polo.
After completing a degree at SFU in Finance, Ian went on to complete a CGA designation and is just completing his work experience for a CFA designation. Ian currently works as a Trader/Portfolio Administrator for an investment dealer. In his spare time Ian plays competitive men’s soccer, while also enjoying running, swimming, and biking to stay in shape.
He is very excited to be returning to Pacific Storm and looks forward to working with the talented young athletes in the program.
