Shane brings a host of water polo playing and coaching experience to Pacific Storm.

He played the sport for 13 years himself and was on the Simon Fraser University Varsity as well as Junior National teams.  Shane has been coaching for 16 years and has his NCCP Level 2 Accreditation as well as his Level 3 Technical.

He has coached a wide range of ages from kids to adults for a number of teams including the Coquitlam Sharks, Coquitlam Lions in addition to being the Pacific Storm Goalie Coach.

Shane was born in Toronto but obtained his education in B.C. and Oregon completing a Bachelor of Education from UBC in 2000 and a Master of Education from the University of Oregon in 2004.  His full-time employment is in the capacity of Centennial High School’s Technology Teacher in Coquitlam.

Shane shares his life with wife Jody and their little guy Zander who is just 1 year old.  He likes to spend what little spare time he has building & repairing things and striving to be the best Dad that he can be.

In his role as Goalie Coach for Storm, Shane’s goal is to ensure that goalies receive the specialized training and position focus that they need to allow them to reach their full potential.
